We'll send your child a Jewish bedtime story or CD every month - for FREE!
The Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando brings Jewish families together at bedtime with the PJ Library program. Made possible with funding through JFGO, the PJ Library program delivers free Jewish bedtime story books to families with children under five years old. The books help teach children Jewish traditions and inspire Jewish life choices.
Open doors to Jewish Culture.
PJ Library comes into the home and, in a gentle way, shares the joys of Judaism and helps connect families to community. Open doors to Jewish culture and tradition through the gift of the PJ Library.
Inspire Wonder. Embrace our Heritage. Build Lasting Connections.
The PJ Library is a free program that sends high-quality, age-appropriate Jewish books and music to families each month - with no strings attached. Not even the ones on your pajamas (a.k.a. PJs)! The PJ Library Orlando program is available to families with children ages 6 months to 5 1/2 years living in the Orlando area.
If you have children or grandchildren living outside the Orlando area and would like to enroll them, visit www.pjlibrary.org. PJ Library is offered in over 100 communities in North America and can be purchased as a gift for children living in areas where there is no active PJ Library program.
We can't wait to start sending your family free Jewish books and music!
Bringing Bedtime Stories Overseas.
At home and in Israel, the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando brings Jewish families together at bedtime with the PJ Library program. Made possible with funding through JFGO, the PJ Library program delivers free Jewish bedtime story books to families with children under five years old. The books help teach children Jewish traditions and inspire Jewish life choices. The program reaches hundreds of families locally and JFGO is thrilled to announce a new initiative that will bring the program to its sister city Kiriyat Motzkin, Israel. The program will mirror our local programming in Israel and will help strengthen Jewish identity there just as it does throughout Central Florida. Through this exciting initiative, named Sifriyat Pijama, 700 Israeli children will receive story books each month and will be able to benefit in building Jewish traditions and community. This partnership was proposed by the Israel & Overseas committee last fall and will commence with the 2012-2013 school year. JFGO has worked tirelessly for several months hand in hand with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and the municipalities in Kiriyat Motzkin to secure funding and resources in order to make this idea a reality. JFGO is a pioneer community for this effort as it is one of the first in the country to extend the program to its Israeli sister city. This collaborative initiative will bring joy to local families as well by connecting them to the Israeli participant families through pen pal programs that will strengthen international friendships.
